This car is a very correct, original and numbers matching example of a 1973 Mustang Convertible., It has the 351 Cleveland V8-2V, a C6 automatic transmission and a 2.75 rear axle, all original options. It is the Medium Bright Yellow factory color with a factory Ginger vinyl interior and a black vinyl power top and glass backlight.
Factory options include competition suspension, Selectair air conditioning, power disc front brakes, power convertible top, color-keyed sport mirrors, Instrumentation Group, Convenience Group and the Appearance Protection Group. Here is a functioning ram air system, an AM/FM stereo radio and tinted glass all-around.
This is a total rust-free car and is dealer undercoated. It was delivered to Jacksonville, Florida and was transported to Washington State in 1983 by a Mustang Club of America member who moved to Seattle. The car was purchased on April 12, 1990 by the current and only 3rd ever owner.
The car drives beautifully and has the comfort of the big body Mustangs. All the proper paperwork in included, and a total inventory of all servicing and parts are also included.
In 1997 this car received a total mechanical restoration. Then in 1999 and 2000, the body was professionally media blasted and repainted in the original factory color. New moldings, weather stripping, window felts, interior carpet and all aging chrome we replaced with factory correct parts. The total suspension was replaced with NOS parts as were the power disc brakes. All parts that have been replaced meet the MUSTANG CLUB OF AMERICA’s judging rule standards and all the body panels are original and date coded. The paint is still in perfect show-quality condition, and the seats, door panels and interior panels are near-perfect. Everything works, the odometer reads 59,200 and the car is detailed underneath and the engine compartment is in “Gold Standard” show condition.
One would be hard-pressed to find a finer example of an iconic 1973 Mustang Convertible anywhere. The car can be inspected in the Seattle, WA area by appointment.
