Dobson assembles team to take over well-known Porsche repair facility
Seattle, WA, April 15, 2016– Seven-time Indy 500 competitor and former IndyCar Rookie of the Year, Dominic Dobson, has assembled a team of experienced professionals, including his brother Patrick and Scott Blaze of Folsom, CA, to purchase Gerber Motorsports. Gerber was founded by the multiple race and championship team manager, Walter Gerber, over 15 years ago in the Magnolia area of Seattle, WA.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for my brother, myself and Scott,” said Dominic, “we have worked together for years in many racing venues and they bring a tremendous amount of Porsche experience and business skills to continue to build upon what Walter has created.”
Gerber has participated in many forms of motorsport in his long career, including the Indy 500, LeMans 24hr, Daytona 24hr, Sebring 12hr and had led numerous championships. Starting in Switzerland as an apprentice, he moved to successful championship-winning years running Porsches with drivers like Bob Wollek, Jurgen Barth, Hurley Haywood, Derek Bell, Jeff Andretti, Lynn St James, Bobby Rahal and many others. Walter has managed to rack up an impressive list of victories and won a championship in the 1995 IMSA GT-3 title.
